The automatic pipe pusher device of the Downhole Operations Company of Dagang Oilfield reduces burden and empowers.

On November 3rd, at the well maintenance site of Well West 17-9 in the Downhole Operations Company of Dagang Oilfield, employees completed the operation tasks that previously required the cooperation of two positions by controlling the newly developed automatic pipe pusher device.
Traditional minor well maintenance is a labor-intensive industry. On-site employees have been dealing with "iron blocks" such as hydraulic tongs, slips, and oil pipes for years, with high labor intensity and safety risks. During the daily process of raising and lowering oil pipes, well maintenance workers need to lift and lower oil pipes weighing over 100 kilograms onto and off the wellhead operation platform, which is time-consuming, laborious, and poses risks of collision and damage. Based on the research and promotion of automatic well maintenance machines, the Downhole Operations Company of Dagang Oilfield formed a professional team to develop an automatic pipe pusher device that matches the on-site oil pipe catwalk, achieving mechanization in the lifting and lowering of oil pipes and sucker rods.
After conducting detailed performance evaluations and safety assessments, the Downhole Operations Company of Dagang Oilfield actively promoted the field trials of the automatic pipe pusher device. As of now, this year, it has been applied on-site 59 times, raising and lowering over 100,000 pipes and rods, fully verifying the device's controllability, safety, and reliability. Through the application of the automatic pipe pusher device, the labor intensity of employees has been further reduced, the on-site working environment has been improved, and the level of well maintenance automation has been enhanced, providing solid equipment support and guarantee for accelerating and improving the efficiency of well maintenance operations.
